“Pir-e-Kaamil”: Redefining Love & Destiny That Rules All Reader’s Hearts

Pir-e-Kaamil (English : The Perfect Mentor), is the most selling and loved Urdu novel. The story revolves around Salaar Sikander life journey and his transformation. The novel was published in 2003 and is popular among all generations. After its massive hit, it’s sequel “Aab-e-Hayaat” was released in 2013.
Salaar Sikander, reader’s heartthrob, a young handsome man with IQ of 150 attempted three suicides just for the sake of experiencing maximum possible pain.
Imama Hashim, who grew up in a family had Ahmediya faith. Her research in Islam made her accept Islam for which she had to face challenges.
Both, Imama & Salaar were neighbors living in Islamabad. Imama’s decision to revert brought many challenges ahead of her for which she had to get help from a close-by person and that was our long haired, folded sleeves, tops in ears and few buttons of shirt open as usual. Imama helped Salaar in treatment in his 3rd suicide attempt and it was his time to pay off. The beautiful journey kickstarts, taking you to a cinematic ride passing through Islamabad’s Margalla Hill, New York’s Yale University and Lahore’s red light area.
The novel gives a reality check to the readers about their life decisions and showed how love and destiny wins a war against time. Salaar’s character development through the spiritual journey showed light to many readers.
Overall, the novel is life journey of man whose life gets changed after an incident where he finds his unanswered questions. Where nature speaks to him and God shows him the signs.
